I met Gloria when my Mom and I moved to Woodstock. She was in a wheelchair and was in need of a caregiver while I worked. We met Gloria 2006 her knowledge of every day needs and assistance in the unexpected were extremely helpful. How to describe Gloria... caring heart, never negative, full of life, her smile is infectious which makes her clients feel good about themselves, trust was never a question, she goes above and beyond for her clients and their families, the professionalism is not ever in question. Mom passed in 2012. Gloria and I remained friends. In 2017 I had major surgery on my knee and femur at which time I was in need of help and care to come back from major surgery. I am getting there with this woman's help and many attributes.

Gloria provided excellent and compassionate service. She was always very caring and kind and made my mom very comfortable and never rushed through her care routine. Gloria went above her duties and provided personal attention to the details that my mom appreciated and made her feel better; like using mom’s favourite creams for a massage and doing a little makeup and hair to make my mom feel good about herself. Her attention to detail was excellent. Gloria made sure she was wearing clothes or pajamas that were comfortable but also that mom liked. She wrote notes to us about care she needed while she was not on duty. Mom always looked forward to her visits and asked the care service provider to send Gloria as often as possible. Their response was to "try, but everyone wants Gloria”. Gloria said she would keep in touch as did some other caregivers when mom went to palliative care at Sakura House, but she was the only one who actually did and attended mom’s funeral. I would 100% recommend Gloria to others!

I first met Gloria about 7 years ago, when my sister was diagnosed with ALS. Gloria was one of her regular PSW’s until her death 3 1/2 years later. As most of us do, we worry that the care our loved one is going to receive is not up to the standard that we would give them. After observing and interacting with Gloria, my concerns were put to rest very quickly. Gloria always put my sister’s needs first. She was concerned about the little things that so often are forgotten, like making sure she was warm enough when getting her sponge baths; preserving her modesty; ensuring her food was at a good temperature; ensuring she was comfortable. She was always looking for ways to ensure my sister lived as normal a life as possible with such a horrible disease. Gloria was not afraid to express concerns to me, when she felt there were issues that needed to be addressed. My sister often told me that Gloria was her favorite PSW, and I have to admit that I felt the same! After my sister passed away, Gloria took the time to check in with me several times to make sure I was doing okay. I have to admit should I ever need care, Gloria would be the first person I called.

Gloria has helped our family working with our mother while we have all navigated the changes needed with her care as she has aged and her dementia became more pronounced.
She not only assisted with preparing meals , showering and other personal care, she guided the family in medical needs and was a reliable support that enable us to visit and be a family , rather than caretakers.
Gloria's medical experience and background has been valuable in her recommendations with exercises, dietary needs, and medical tracking. And at the same time, she became a friend to my mother, joining her in the things that mom loves, like singing hymns together.

Gloria’s primary function was to care for my fathers needs. Before his passing in August my father was 90 years old, limited mobility, and a mild case of dementia. This included getting him showered, shaved, and dressed for the day. She would prepare his breakfast, and have his lunch ready wrapped and in the fridge. Always ensuring his medication was properly dispensed. She was also responsible for his physio, and taking him outside for some fresh air. Gloria was able to fit all this in in the 3 hour window.

Originally Gloria was scheduled for Monday,Wednesday, and Friday. This would be from 9:00 am-12:00 noon. As my fathers needs increased the hours were increased to Monday-Saturday from 9:00 am-12:00 noon. Gloria then began to come in the evening for one hour to put my Father to bed at approximately 7:30 pm. This took considerable pressure off of my mother who is 84.
Gloria is a true proud professional in every aspect of her job. Gloria is able to handle difficult situations, and can also deal with changing family dynamics. Her input into care and dietary needs is valuable for improved care. She has very good time management skills that are an asset for this type of care.

I would not hesitate to recomend Gloria for any of you health care requirements
